OUR CARE PROCESS

Supporting Healthy Breathing, Speech & Development — At Every Age

From early childhood through adulthood, how we breathe and use the muscles of the mouth shapes sleep, speech, growth, and long-term health.

Our approach focuses on improving function first — because when the foundation is strong, everything else works better.

WHY FUNCTION MATTERS

Many parents come to us because their child:

  • Mouth breathes

  • Snores or sleeps restlessly

  • Has unclear speech

  • Needs orthodontic treatment

  • Struggles with tongue posture

  • Seems constantly congested

Adults often come to us experiencing:

  • Jaw tension or clenching

  • Poor sleep

  • Fatigue

  • Chronic congestion

  • Speech concerns

  • Anxiety linked to breathing patterns

What many don’t realize is that these symptoms are often deeply connected. Breathing influences jaw development, tongue posture shapes facial growth, swallow patterns affect dental alignment, and airway health directly impacts sleep and focus.

Rather than chasing individual symptoms, we focus on identifying and improving the underlying function that drives them — creating lasting, meaningful change.

A dentist wearing scrubs playfully holds a model of a mouth with teeth, engaging with a patient in a consultation room. Two children, a girl sitting on a small bench playing with toys and a boy sitting in a chair, observe the interaction, smiling. The room has children's books and framed pictures on the wall.

Myofunctional Therapy

Building Strong Foundations for Growth & Stability

Myofunctional therapy retrains the muscles of the tongue, lips, cheeks, and face to function properly at rest and during swallowing and speech.
By restoring proper breathing patterns, oral resting posture, and swallow function, we help support optimal airway health, jaw development, and long-term structural stability

Speech Therapy

Clear, confident communication starts with strong foundations.

Our speech therapy supports articulation and sound clarity while also evaluating the functional patterns behind them. We assess whether speech challenges may be influenced by tongue posture, oral muscle coordination, mouth breathing habits, or restricted mobility.

By addressing both speech production and underlying muscle function when appropriate, we help create more stable, lasting progress for children and adults.

Buteyko Breathing

Breathing is foundational to sleep, focus, and overall health.

The Buteyko Method is a gentle breathing retraining approach that restores comfortable nasal breathing and improves breathing efficiency. Dysfunctional breathing patterns can contribute to congestion, snoring, fatigue, anxiety, and poor sleep quality.

By improving breathing mechanics, we support the foundation that oral function and long-term wellness depend on.
